Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine accepted a draft resolution on an appeal to the UN, the European Parliament, the Parliamentary Assemblies of the Council of Europe, the OSCE, NATO, the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, the governments and parliaments of foreign states in connection with the escalation of the situation due to Russia’s actions.

326 people’s deputies voted for the appeal – all groups and factions, except for the Opposition Platform – For Life, notes Liga.net.

The document says that its goal is to take joint measures “to frustrate Russia’s intentions to implement a military scenario and satisfy its geopolitical ambitions in relations with Ukraine.”

Ukrainian parliament urged international organizations and governments of other countries:

  • condemn the actions of Russia and its statements aimed “to prepare the basis for the expansion of military and hybrid aggression against the Ukrainian state”;
  • increase sanctions pressure on Russia;
  • to strengthen the provision of comprehensive, including defense, assistance to Ukraine:
  • continue support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
