The Van Daan family founded their own rehabilitation center: ‘Young people with brain injuries deserve a future’

Due to a serious scooter accident, the then 23-year-old Daan Theeuwes would have to spend the rest of his life in a nursing home. But the Theeuwes family did not give up and sought help in America. He learned to walk and talk again. Back in the Netherlands, a similar rehabilitation clinic was set up, the Daan Theeuwes Center, which focuses on the maximum possible recovery of young people with brain injury.
