Utah Jazz training camp started with minimal talk.

The head coach Will Hardy looked at his pack of players and gave them the ball. It was time to play. It didn’t end for a while, as the American manager wanted to get his team physically fit before the start of the season.

And what better way to do it than through sports training.

– We probably played for two hours straight, Jazz’s playmaker Mike Conley blowing of The Athletic in the interview.

“Everything to the line”

After the game, it was time for more tender moods of the old union. When Hardy’s “all to the line” command went, the basketball players who had left the game waited in a row, bewildered, for what was to come.

– We all looked at him like what, Malik Beasley laugh.

Then they were allowed to run long distances, including lines and other exercises that improve running fitness.

Strike ability

The fitness regimen of the NBA’s scumbag group has borne fruit since the start of the season, as the Jazz, who have won ten out of 13 games, are now basking in the top spot of the league’s Western Conference.

Hardy’s team plays a fast-paced game and is able to put a bigger gear in the middle of the games. The arc of the drama in the Jazz’s games has often been that the gap with the opponent breaks after halftime.

– Looking back, we probably needed it, center Kelly Olynyk grant.

According to Conley, who has played in the NBA since 2007, Hardy’s methods are not conventional.

– It was different from the camps we have participated in. And I think the effects showed in the practice matches because our legs were really heavy in those games. But now we understand it. It’s starting to pay for itself.

The average points scored by the Jazz (118.8) is the highest in the NBA, the team is fourth in steals (8.6) and eighth in offensive rebounds (12.3).

The night before Sunday, the Utah Jazz will face the Washington Wizards.
