Russia continues to increase its military forces near the Ukrainian border instead of withdrawing them from there, US State Department spokesman Ned Price said at a briefing. Broadcast led press service of the State Department.
“We of this [деэскалации] did not notice. In fact, we have seen exactly the opposite: in recent weeks and even days, Russian forces on the border [Украины] getting bigger, not smaller,” Price said.
He noted that this situation is of great concern, so that the United States is “doing everything possible” for a peaceful resolution of the crisis.
Zelensky did not see the withdrawal of Russian troops from the border with Ukraine
The day before, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also noted that he “does not see” any withdrawal of Russian troops from the regions bordering Ukraine. “To be honest, we are reacting to the reality that we have, and so far we have not seen any withdrawal of troops. We only heard about it,” Zelensky said. He noted that when the troops are withdrawn, “everyone will see it,” and not just the military or intelligence. “But for now, these are just statements,” the president stressed.
