The US Embassy in Russia declined to comment on the publication in the Spanish newspaper El País of US and NATO responses to Russian proposals for security guarantees. This was stated TASS US Embassy Press Secretary Jason Rebholtz.
“As is standard practice, we do not discuss document leaks,” he said.

It follows from it that the United States and NATO are ready to discuss some security issues with Russia in Europe, but do not agree with its key demands – the non-expansion of the alliance to the east and the return of its military infrastructure to the 1997 borders.
