Singer Ed Sheeran’s two daughters got their more special names through backstories.

Singer Ed Sheeran, 31, and his wife Cherry Seaborn, 30, have announced the name of their second child. There is a special reason behind the second daughter’s name.
The couple named their child born in May Jupiter Seaborn as Sheeran. The daughter’s surname is made up of the parents’ surnames, but the first name has a special meaning for the parents.
According to them, Jupiter means brave and powerful. Ed and Cherry are said to have chosen the name because of its meaning and uniqueness. The couple thinks the name suits their new daughter perfectly and it describes her.
In May, Sheeran shared a post on Instagram showing tiny socks.
– I want you all to know that we have had another beautiful daughter. We love him to the moon and back when we are a family of four, wrote the musician at the time in connection with his picture.
The couple’s first-born daughter, born in 2020, also has a special name. Lyra Antarctica Seaborn by Sheeran1, first name is quoted by Philip Pullman From the main character of the Golden Compass book, i.e. brave and daring Lyra.
Sheeran has previously said that the Dust of the Universe book series is the best he has ever read. The trilogy has indeed inspired the couple in naming their first child.
Ed Sheeran married his wife in January 2019, after which their family has grown with two daughters. The musician is careful about his family’s privacy and has not shared photos of his daughters.
Despite his addition to the family, Sheeran is currently on tour for his new album. He will perform in Helsinki in August.
