The United States finds the remains of three migrants in the Rio Grande

Border Patrol recovered the bodies of three men and released them for identification.

The Office of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) of the United States has informed this Thursday that They have recovered the bodies of three migrants in the Rio Bravobetween Mexico and the US. “Border Patrol agents assigned to the Del Rio Sector recovered the bodies of three deceased migrants in a span of four hours on August 17,” reads the press release published by CBP.

The agents found a deceased man floating in the river, around 08:40 local time (15:40 Spanish peninsular time). Two hours later, the body of another male was found near the same area. Officers later located the body of a third man. The bodies of these three victims, the statement said, have been handed over to the local authorities for their corresponding identification.

CBP figures in more than 200 migrants deceased registered from October 1, 2021 to July 31.
