The TV star’s mother and father died in a shocking accident – Social media update confuses: “I don’t think my parents fought”

Remppa vai muutto star Phil Spencer talks about his loss in a recent update.

Phil Spencer is now speaking out about the death of his parents. PDO

For Finns Rempa or move presenter known from the program Phil Spencer met with great sadness on Friday. His parents died in an accident in the village of Littlebourne in Kent, on the grounds of Spencer’s childhood home.

Spencer’s parents were on their way to a pub to eat when their car skidded into a river. Help was quickly called to the scene, but Spencer’s father was pronounced dead at the scene, his mother died later in the hospital. A woman in her sixties who was with the couple also suffered minor injuries.

Now Phil Spencer has published a heartbreaking update where he opens up about his own and his siblings’ feelings.

– My great parents died on Friday. As a family, we try to hold on to the fact that they left together, and neither of us has to mourn the other’s departure. It is a blessing, he writes.

– Although both were in good health when they left, mother’s Parkinson’s disease and father’s dementia had worsened. In the long term, there would have been challenges. My mother spoke to me just a week ago that she would like to go with father together, and she believed it would happen. So they left. I believe this was God’s plan for them, and it was a good plan.

Praises “good start”

The presenter also tells details about his parents’ accident.

– The car slowly went to the bridge along the farm road and turned upside down in the river. No one was physically hurt and I don’t think my parents fought. They just probably held each other’s hands under the water and quietly floated away. Their nurse was in the car and managed to climb out of the window, so help was quickly called.

– Like many farmers, my brother had a knife, and he cut open the seat belts, and pulled them out of the river. However, they did not regain consciousness. Although I am incredibly sad and completely in shock, the whole family is of the opinion that if there is such a thing as a “good departure”, this was it. It feels terrible now, but after 60 years of union, it’s comforting that they died together on the farm they loved.
