The last year belonged, you don’t have to kid yourself, all of Adele. The British singer released her fourth studio album with “30” and landed, as one would expect, a mega hit.
Just like her predecessors were very personal confrontations with her own biography, Adele processed the failed marriage with Simon Konecki, with whom she also has a son, with the new songs. It is the story of an artist and mother who deals with her own suffering and becomes stronger as a result.
A new documentary that is already in the streaming can be seen (until May 31), but is literally hidden by ZDF on its special interest channel ZDFInfo (premier: May 3, 12 p.m.), shows the background to the creation of the LP and describes the bittersweet rise of the young Adele Laurie Blue Adkins from the child of a single mother in Tottenham who, inspired by the great soul divas and the Spice Girls, sets out to become one of the greatest voices in music history. Not an easy path, because Adele keeps getting in her own way.
