This weekend marks the 14th edition of one of the most emblematic trail races in the Pyrenees. Between this Friday, September 29 and Sunday, October 1, mountain racing lovers will once again enjoy the Salomon Ultra Pirineu, which this year has sold out its registrations in each of the four events held throughout the weekend. of week.

The party starts with Molina Nit Pirineu KV® on Friday the 29th at 7:30 p.m., a vertical night race of 860m of positive slope that runs 5 kilometers between the La Molina ski resort (cable lift area) and the “Niu de l’Àliga” refuge; (2520m).

On Saturday, September 30, the highlight of the weekend arrives. At 5:30 a.m. the starting signal for the queen event will be given, the Salomon Ultra Pirineu 100k®. More than 1,000 runners from all over the world will face the 100 kilometers and 6,600 meters of positive gradient of this already historic race. The SUP100k runs through high mountain sections of the Cadí Moixeró Natural Park, in addition to the nine mountain refuges, which will serve as refreshment stations for a race that is once again part of the circuit. Among them, the participation of Robert Pkemboi, Núria Gil, Roberto Delorenzi, Julia Font, Daniel Castillo and Cecilia Basso.

Finally, on Sunday, October 1, it will be the turn of the Salomon Mitja Pirineu 21k®a test of 21 kilometers with 1,400 meters of elevation gain, which goes from Bagà to Pedraforca, passing through the Serra d’Ensija and Comabona. In this case, the participation of athletes such as Caitlin Fielder or Gisela Carrión in the female panorama, and Alex García, Gianluca Ghiano or Miquel Corbera in the masculine.
