The “Top of fashion” contestants are on the verge of a new challenge: the task is to design an outfit that brings the pattern to glory.
Competitors choose patterns in turn, and Kaisa kicks luck. He gets exactly the patterned fabric he wants to work with.
Kaisa presents her ideas to the mentor For Sofia Järnefelt.
– This is going to be a bit ethnic – in more ways than one. Because I would like a very kimono-like silhouette for this, says Kaisa.
The mentor’s expression speaks volumes. Silence follows.
– Of course, it’s important to always remember what culture you’re drawing from and what your own relationship is to it, so that you don’t exploit someone else’s culture, says Sofia Järnefelt.
Kaisa says that Halun also wants to bring a Finnish, Karelian mood into her clothes. The mentor gets excited and encourages you to focus on it.

After the performance, the judges give feedback. The creation designed by Kaisa is raised to the tip of the stick.
– When I look at this outfit, I see that a lot of effort has been put into this. However, someone is rotting here, says presenter and judge Miisa Grekov.
Sitting on the jury Sami Sykkö points out that when preparing a show costume, styling is of great importance.
– Now you’ve combined a tricot evening dress with a kilt and such a tote bag. Then there are pockets like that on the sleeves. Now it’s about a fashion competition, and not dressing up a storybook, says Sykö.
However, Sykkö praises the relaxed spirit of the outfit.
In the back room, Kaisa breaks down. The other contestants comfort him.
Mark describes in the back room that the storybook comment was really rude.
– In my opinion, that was really fucking insulting, Sakari says and goes to hug Kaisa.
