Spezia decided to change its logo.

Spezia, which was relegated from Serie A at the end of last season, presented the new club logo on social media on Thursday.
With the relegation, Spezia wanted to start with a clean slate and replaced the hole with a new one. The logo features a white stylized eagle with the club name above it.
However, the new logo was not well received by fans. Many of them connected with fascism.
– Change the logo, it sucks, one Twitter user wrote.
– This Nazi thing makes you want to vomit, another said.

Previously, the Italian government and the country’s football association jointly banned the use of the number 88. The number 88 has been considered a symbol of the neo-Nazis and has been taken for the Heil Hitler greeting used in Nazi Germany.
Some of Spezia’s supporters were joking Football Italia website according to this.
– Next season there will be only 88 fans in the stadium.
Spezia was relegated from the Italian Serie A at the end of last season. It lost the decisive match in terms of relegation to Hellas Verona by 1–3.
