The top actor Edward Norton is related to Pocahontas

American actress Edward Norton, 53, made a guest appearance on Tuesday on a show called Finding Your Roots. The Oscar-winning actor learned an important fact about the history of his family during the shooting of the program.

Norton has previously been claimed to be related to the legendary Pocahontas. Historian and program host Henry Louis Jr. confirmed a long-standing rumor.

– Pocahontas really is your foremother, Louis Jr. tells Norton.

Norton was shocked that the rumors were confirmed.

According to Gates, Pocahontas and John Rolfe married in 1614 in Virginia. Pocahontas died in England three years later, while Rolfe died in March 1622.
