Iltalehti previously reported how at Sunrise Avenue’s farewell concert, numerous fans were disappointed when the VIP tickets they purchased did not entitle them to access the VIP area.

Lippu.fi’s marketing and communications manager Teresa Turhanen says that there was no actual mistake in the case, as their customer service previously commented on the matter to Iltalehte.
– At the beginning of the advance sale, the ticket office had instructions that left room for interpretation. We refined the texts as soon as we noticed the situation. In the initial phase of the ticket purchase event, there have been event texts in connection with the ticket categories, from which the content of the ticket may have been misunderstood. However, the ticket types and their prices have been correct throughout the sale, Turhanen says.
He does not know the exact number of people who try to get to the VIP area with the wrong kind of ticket.
– We still don’t know how many people interpreted the 49 euro field ticket as a VIP ticket.
Turhanen adds that the consumers were allowed to keep the tickets they bought, because the ticket types and prices have been correct in their service from the beginning. Marjaana, who reported on the matter to Iltalehti, kertVIP tickets as Veikkaus’ priority customer in advance.
– Betting has nothing to do with this.
Although some of the booking confirmations showed that the consumer had purchased a VIP ticket, it did not appear so on the official ticket. For some, it came as a complete surprise at the venue.
– We cannot know in advance how many of those who bought tickets thought they had bought VIP tickets, he adds.
Turhanen confirms that those customers who bought their tickets before the sales texts were refined have been promised a 20 euro gift card as a refund.
