The Tena health bandages transport service was hacked online – Thousands of customers’ information at risk

Pirkanmaa’s welfare area informs that the personal data of Tena incontinence product home delivery service subscribers has been compromised. People who use incontinence products have, for example, urinary incontinence.

The data breach targeted the information systems of transport service Westlog Oy. According to the press release, Westlog has announced that personal data may have been leaked to outsiders as a result of the cyber attack that took place in August.

The leak of personal data can affect up to thousands of customers. In addition to the Pirkanmaa welfare area, the leak also targets customers of the welfare areas of Ostrobothnia and Northern Finland.

Leaked customer information can include, for example, the customer’s name, contact information, social security number and orders placed.

Pirkanmaa’s welfare area has requested additional information from Essity, the company that manufactures Tena products, and the investigation of the data leak is still in progress. The Pirkanmaa welfare area asks its customers to pay special attention to possible fraud attempts.
