The Catalan Court of Sport has accepted for processing the challenge appeal in the elections to the presidency of the Catalan Federation
The Court could assess the repetition of the elections
The appeal of the team of the candidate for the elections to the presidency of the Catalan Federation, Àlex Talavera, for the repetition of the elections due to some irregularities has been accepted for processing. This is what the ‘Els Clubs, Primer’ team has assured in a press release: “The TCE has resolved the petition favorably, accepting the challenge appeal to the presidential elections of the Catalan Football Federation”.
In addition, the statement ensures that “the Permanent Commission of the TCE, after evaluating the appeal presented by Talavera and the documentation received by the Federation, has favorably resolved the request of the former, understanding that the irregularities experienced during the voting day and reported a posteriori are sufficient to assess the possibility of repeating the elections”.
Talavera first filed an appeal against minutes number 10, 11 and 12 of May 22, 2022 of the Electoral Board of the Catalan Football Federation, presenting different irregularities and incidents that had been committed on voting day.
