Venla Edelmann is the daughter of actor-singer Samuli Edelmann. In an interview with Iltalehti, the young singer told how her father’s popularity came as a surprise.
– When we lived in Malta in my childhood, I didn’t realize who my father was. At the age of 15, when we moved to Finland, I noticed that everyone knew me before I even came to the new school. I didn’t know who wanted to be my friend for real and who wanted to be because of my father, commented Edelmann.
She has also made a career as a model.
– I used to be an insecure person. In the modeling world, it was easy, you didn’t have to think about anything, I just put on a dress and went into a certain role. When I got the recording contract from Warner, they asked me what I wanted and I couldn’t answer it.
