The leading cosmetics chain in the Nordic countries is expanding its operations and opening Finland’s first brick-and-mortar store in the center of Helsinki at the end of May. More specifically, the brick-and-mortar store will open for consumers on Saturday, May 27. Shopping center to Forum.

– We have been operating in Finland since 2018 and I am happy to be able to state that the market continues to grow strongly in light of the latest figures. I see a lot of potential in Finland and I believe that our unique way of combining digital and physical trade sets us apart from other players in the industry, says Lyko’s CEO Rickard Lyko in the bulletin.

Most of Lyko’s customers are online, which generates almost 90 percent of the company’s turnover. The company has noticed that Finns are more cautious online shoppers compared to neighboring countries.

– In addition to online shopping, people want personal service, advice and a sense of community. We want to be a unique meeting place for all those interested in beauty, the likes of which has not been seen in Helsinki before, says Lyko Suomen’s marketing director Ida Berg Kivi.

In addition to the flagship store in Finland, Lyko has a total of 31 stores in Sweden and Norway, and the company’s goal in the future is to open more brick-and-mortar stores in Finland as well.
