The survivors have an emotional afternoon – letters from home bring everyone to tears

In the Survivors Suomi program, the end of the season is live.

There are only five contestants left among the survivors. Lars Johnson

The survivors have already spent 27 days in the jungle. Winners of the last competition Tommy and The same receive from the host Juuso from Mäkilahti benefit: they get to shop at the pop-up beach store. They had access to wholesale local money.

The men procure dried octopus, spices and peanut butter for the camp. They buy afternoon treats for themselves to enjoy right after shopping.

At the moment of payment, the merchant suddenly remembers that he has something for the men.

– I have a delivery for you from Finland, he says and hands the box to the two.

Back at the Tioman camp, the men show off their purchases and finally reveal that the box they have with them has something for all the contestants, i.e. letters from loved ones.

A sea of tears

The first to receive the letter was Virpi, who received the letter from his sister From Katja, which was written in the Ylitornio dialect. The letter, folded into an envelope, told about Virpi’s daughter’s schooling and the family’s affairs.

The daughter had started a new school just before the filming of Survivors, and the mother had been stressed about how the child had coped with the new one. However, the letter revealed that everything had gone well and it brought the mother to tears of homesickness.

Next, Sami received an envelope, inside which, in addition to the letter, is a picture of his daughter. He is moved to tears and reads an excerpt from a letter written by his wife.

– After all, being apart for so long has shown how closely we have grown together, he reads.

Helmeri received a letter from his common-law partner, i.e. someone he knew from Big Brother Anu from Puumalainen. Tears stream down the man’s face as he tries to read the letter aloud.

Anu says in the letter that Helmeri is her soulmate and describes how they have a unique relationship with each other.

– The fact that this happens in life is as likely as meeting a Bengal tiger in the city center.

The man also bursts into tears later when talking about his soulmate with Anu.

Tommi is afraid to open his letter, because his spouse is shy to talk openly about his feelings, especially when he knows it will be read aloud. That’s why he feels that whatever he has written is already a lot.

– Maybe here is a letter from my mother.

After opening the letter, she bursts into tears, because it is indeed a letter from her spouse and a picture of the couple’s dogs.

Finally, the pit of the camp Julia gets his letter. The envelope contains a picture of the siblings and a letter from her mother, whom Julia has missed a lot.

– The fact that I found out something from home and that everything is fine there, I got the feeling that I can get by even without food for the rest of the time.
