He cites those who were municipal secretary and auditor in 2017 and asks the Civil Guard to investigate the relationship of the former mayor with a radio and a communication consultant
Just over a month after the Congress of Deputies authorized the investigation to the deputy of the PP Alberto Caserothe supreme court has reactivated the open investigation for alleged prevarication and embezzlement during his tenure as mayor of Trujillo (Cáceres).
The instructor of the case, Judge Andrés Palomo del Arco, has summoned six witnesses for next Decemberamong them those who were secretary and comptroller of the municipality at the time in which the allegedly criminal acts occurred, according to the order to which El Periódico de España, of the Prensa Ibérica group, has had access.
Specifically, for next December 12, the municipal secretary between 2012 and 2018 Álvaro Casas Avilés has been summoned; to the auditor between 2017 and 2019 Jesús Hernández and to the former councilor for Youth and Education in 2017 Rafael Rebollo. For the day later, the councilor for Social Services during that year, Soledad Corrales, the current comptroller José Antonio Ramos and the official José Luis Bermejo have been summoned.
Likewise, it requests the Civil Guard to appoint agents to investigate the hiring and effective services provided by the psychologist Pablo Bonilla during the year 2017; and also find out who hired him, what office he occupied and with which officials he was related. The Supreme Court judge also asks for investigations into the relationship between former Mayor Casero and Radio Interior SL and Ícaro Consultores en Comunicación.
Other steps include requesting the current mayor of the municipality of Cáceres to report “on the composition of the Ferex Fair Institution and the contributions committed and disbursed by its members in the 2017 and 2018 annulments”.
