Tobi Amusan stiffened in front of the media and dismissed the questions as stupid.
World champion of fast fences Tobi Amusan behavior at the World Championships in Budapest raised eyebrows on Tuesday.
Amusan ran 12.48 in the heats of the 100 meter hurdles and was the third fastest. The Nigerian getting to the starting line was downright a miracle, because a week ago he was temporarily banned from competition on suspicion of a doping violation.
Amusan lost his temper when asked how it felt to clear the allegations and run in the World Championships.
– I compete here. That’s all that matters. Next, the runner bumped.
The reporter repeated his question.
– I am here. That’s all that matters. Do you have any other questions? Amusa’s tight.
No excuses

In July, the International Association of Athletics Federations’ anti-doping body, the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU), announced that Amusan had failed to meet his whereabouts obligations three times in a 12-month period. Athletes who are part of the testing pool must notify one hour and place of each day when they are available for doping testing.
Neglect is considered to be if you are not at the place you indicated during that hour when the doping testers come. You can also get a notice of neglect if you have entered incorrect information into the location information system.
If there are three non-compliance marks during the year, there is a two-year ban from competition. The collar can be reduced to a year if the degree of fault is small.
However, AIU’s Disciplinary Board overturned Amusan’s temporary suspension by a majority decision on Thursday.
On Tuesday, the Nigerian was asked if he ever doubted getting to the World Cup.
– Aren’t you excited that I’m here? Then why do you ask about things that are already behind you?
The neglect mark can be revoked if the athlete is unable to update the information for reasons beyond their control. Such reasons include, for example, the birth of a spouse or a situation requiring urgent hospital treatment for either the athlete or his close circle.
Amusan barked at the questions as stupid. He refused to say why he was cleared of the charges.
– I’m not going to go into things that are behind me, he answered.
Did not answer

Amusan was not any more eager to answer the questions related to the qualification.
According to the Nigerian, the level of qualifying was not surprisingly tough, even for the United States Kendra Harrison won the qualifier with a world season’s best result of 12.24.
– These are the World Cup. What else could you expect but fast times? Everyone is here to compete. The watch only has WC-level times.
Amusan didn’t want to talk about his own competitive fitness either.
– I am excited to be here. I go one race at a time. I just focus on that.
The semifinals of the quick fences will be run on Wednesday.
