And we snapped a picture of the sauna trip!
Norwegian skiing star Erik Valnes shared the bold snap on her Instagram account. It made headlines in Norway. Dagbladet asked Valnes where such an idea came from.
– My social media has been quiet for quite a long time. I’m not at my best there, but I thought the sauna picture from Finland was good. A picture says more than a thousand words.
The nude photo caused a stir on the Norwegian’s Instagram account. There was also feedback.
– It’s just been fun. There has been some attention, but by no means infinite. Many have said it’s a damn good picture.
The photographer was a member of the national team Emil Iversen. The man revealed that the picture that ended up on Instagram was not the first frame that was captured. Many were taken.
– There were several companies, but it turned out to be a very good picture. A lot of filters have been used. As a photographer, I am satisfied with that, Iversen said.
The picture got exactly the kind of reception the duo wanted.
– There have been a lot of comments and probably also new followers. It was the best time Erik had in Muonio, Iversen grinned to Dagbladet.
Valnes won the sprint race in Muonio and came fifth in the 10 kilometer distance.
