Supermoon spectacle in the capital!

On the night of Thursday, the moon came particularly close to our planet again: at moonrise just before 10 p.m. at 357,517 kilometers. Sounds like a lot, but by the standards of the universe it’s not much.

The supermoon is spoken of when the earth’s satellite has grown to the full moon and comes extraordinarily close to our planet in its orbit.

The super moon then shines up to 14 percent more powerful and 30 percent brighter on the earth – this is not a matter of imagination! Because the US space organization Nasa also confirmed: The super moon is larger.
