The Strokes play “15 Minutes” for the first time in 17 years (video)

They also had a surprise guest at their concert: Regina Spektor.

On Saturday night (August 19) The Strokes performed at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens. The five guys from New York City had some surprises up their sleeve for the concert-goers.

At their gig, they played their song “15 Minutes” live for the first time in 17 years. The track is taken from their third album FIRST IMPRESSION OF EARTH from 2006.

As a further surprise, they also had Regina Spektor with them as a guest. Together with the singer, they performed their song “Modern Girls & Old Fashion Men”. The song was recorded in 2004. A week earlier, folk musician Weyes Blood also sang the song with the band.
