It is the start of the summer holidays, but the weather is not really summery. It is slightly colder than normal, while around this time it is often the warmest period of the year.
RTV Drenthe weatherman Gert Voerman: “The temperature dropped below 22 degrees yesterday and today it is even cooler. That is cooler than the average for Drenthe around this time.”
And it probably feels even colder to people. “It has been a very warm summer. I can imagine that if you worked during the warm period and you are now on vacation, you will be disappointed. Because these days are colder. But if you look at the entire period, then it is not too bad,” said the weatherman.
And for holidaying Drenthe, the prospects don’t look any brighter. Lining: “It remains changeable. Tomorrow morning it will rain and the temperature will remain below par. On Tuesday, for example, it will be below 20 degrees. The change will continue until at least the end of July.”
