Nature has decided to write the script for one of the most anticipated motoring events of the winter. The Ice village, a symbolic place where aesthetics and mechanics meet on the frozen lake of St Moritz, one of the most famous in the world, has remained and will remain silent under a layer of snow that exceeded all expectations. Despite the efforts made since the first light of dawn, the organizing team had to accept defeat against one of the heaviest snowfalls in recent years in the Engadine. With over 60 centimeters of fresh snow, safety and accessibility to the village could not be guaranteedand these findings gave rise to the painful decision to cancel the event, which was postponed to 2025.

The snowstorm that hit St Moritz and its surroundings is one that goes down in history, with an intensity not seen for years. This climatic event brought the entire valley to its knees, imposing the closure of the Maloja pass, partially isolating it and rewriting the plans of residents and visitors. Everything was ready, the cars entered were in ideal condition, but they are remained relegated to the underground car park of St Moritz, without their tires being able to touch the frozen bottom of the lake.
