Etelä Suomen Sanomat (ESS) says that the calculation of the stands in Isku-arena in Lahti has been done, and the result came as a small surprise for the Pelicans, who play in the hockey SM league.
According to ESS, the estimated spectator capacity was reduced to almost 1,000 seats and the official capacity is now 4,403.
For example, the Liiga’s website states that the capacity of Isku-arena is 5,371.
The drop in capacity is explained by the changes made to the stands. According to ESS, there are standing places left in the Areena in the Pelicans’ fan stand and in the corner reserved for away supporters.
