The vineyard has once again chosen sparkling wine and champagne of the year.

Vine leaf The Champagne of the Year 2022 is the Gratiot-Pillière Millésime Champagne Brut 2014, AC Champagne.
The jury judged the champagne to be toasty, elegant and multi-colored, with ripe apples, peaches, cream and nuts, among other things.
The jury described the mouthfeel as harmonious and the aftertaste nuanced. The jury considered the champagne more than worth the price.
The price of champagne at Alko is 43.29 euros.
Silver letter Veuve Clicquot Vintage Champagne Brut 2012 and bronze Taittinger Prélude Grands Crus Cahmpagne Brut.
Winner for the second time
The sparkling wine of the year in Alko was Lindauer Special Reserve Blanc de Blancs Brut from New Zealand, which cost EUR 16.99. The flavors include shades of apricot and citrus. This sparkling wine did not make them famous for the first time: the same wine was also chosen as the sparkling wine of the year two years ago.
Silver this time was awarded to Saint Clair Vicar’s Choice Sauvignon Blanc Bubbles Brut 2020 also from New Zealand and bronze to the South African Graham Beck Méthode Cap Classique Rosé Brut.
Nearly 200 sparkling wines and just over 100 champagnes were entered in the competition this year Juha Berglund and Antti Rinta-Huumo fed blindfolded. The price of sparkling wines should not exceed 30 euros and that of champagnes about 80 euros. 29 sparkling wines and 30 champagnes made it to the finals.
At the beginning of March, Viini magazine published the white wine of the year.
