The Belgian authorities announced that from February 7, citizens of the country will be issued a new design of international passports. It was decided to decorate the cover with the heroes of comics drawn by Belgian authors, informs broadcaster RTBF.
So, on the passports there will be images of Tintin (a hero created by the Belgian artist Hergé), the Smurfs, Largo Vinch and others.
As Foreign Minister Sophie Wilmès explained, the idea is that when traveling abroad, the people of the country represent, among other things, Belgian art and culture. She noted that the design of the new documents is not only talented, but also has a touch of humor.
