Playing in Ilves of the SM league Santeri Virtanen got into the middle of the commotion on Monday when Evening News suspected he was hinting at revenge against the Pelicans Ben Blood’s in the direction of.
Virtanen had commented Above Blood’s loud tackle, as a result of which Ilves’ Eemeli Suomi flew dangerously headfirst into the sideline in the semi-final match of the SM league.

Virtanen caught the news on his own Twitter account and wanted to explain his words.
– These comments have been completely taken out of context from the sweat interview given after the game, which before I had not even seen the situation other than live. Violent retaliation is not in my or our team’s DNA, Virtanen wrote.
– The point in the comments was that the series will certainly continue warm, as it should be in the playoffs. Of course, our team will not back down and we will defend our captain until the end. Do better! He continued.
Blood did not receive a suspension for his tackle. According to Ilves, Finland is doing well considering the situation.
