Kristin Davis was afraid that she couldn’t portray her character who is passionate about the wedding well enough.

Actress Kristin Davis, 58, is best known Single life– series for her role as Charlotte. Now Davis reveals why it was difficult to play that role.
The actor says that he hasn’t been able to identify with his character who dreams of weddings and marital happiness, because he himself is not like that at all.
– We have different lifestyles. I’m not married now and never have been, Davis reveals.
The role of Charlotte required a lot of acting from Davis, in order for her to get the necessary emotions and enthusiasm for values perceived as traditional, which the actress herself does not stand behind. The actor adopted his daughter alone Gemma’s in 2011 and his son Wilson’s in 2018.
– I was stressed in those days, Davis refers to the filming of the series.
– I thought about how exactly I would do this, and act in such a way that the character is believable.
Despite her struggles, Davis returned to the role of Charlotte in 2021 And Just Like That -continuation series, even though he found Single Life filmed in 1998–2004 to be uncomfortable at times.

Davis feels that the script was natural for the character of Charlotte, who got married in the series. The actor says that viewers liked the twists and turns associated with the character.
He also liked how the character’s life developed during the series. The actress reveals that Charlotte’s wedding was fun to play, as she got to try on numerous expensive wedding dresses from luxury brands.
Otherwise, Davis is not enthusiastic about the wedding, and he hopes that he was able to show Charlotte’s enthusiasm for getting married well enough during the series.
