Brazilian gospel singer Pedro Henrique died in front of the audience on stage during his performance in Brazil. Henrique suddenly collapsed mid-song and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Henrique’s label confirmed the singer’s death in the stories section of Instagram. Henrique was 30 years old.
The tragic moment was captured on camera, as the gig was shown live on social media. Video clips of Henrique getting cut short have gone viral online.
Henrique was performing at a private event in Bahia. The recording of the concert shows Henrique standing at the edge of the stage and urging the audience to sing along. Suddenly he loses his balance and collapses in front of his band.
Henrique was immediately taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to doctors, he died of a heart attack.
– There are very difficult situations in life that we cannot explain, Henrique’s record company commented For the New York Post.
Henrique was missed by his wife and two-month-old daughter. His funeral will be held in his hometown of Porto Seguro in the state of Bahia.
