Catalonia is going through a heat wave that is already affecting this Sunday and expect it to last until thursday, according to data from the Meteorological Service of Catalonia (Meteocat). Even so, a storm of showers has crossed the regions of the Catalan Pyrenees of La Cerdanya, Berguedà and Ripollès this Sunday.
The weather service has activated a warning for violent weather in these regions, with a maximum level of danger (6/6). During the afternoon, hail with a diameter greater than two centimeters, gusts of wind greater than 25 meters/second, tornadoes and strong thunderclaps may fall.

Both AEMET and Meteocat have warned that, once the heat episode is over, there will be a radical change and showers will begin to fall, which will also drop temperatures considerably.
