If privacy and data protection are important when surfing, Firefox is already a good choice. If you want it even more secure, you should take a closer look at an offshoot of the Mozilla browser.
Prevent tracking by third parties and not look over the shoulders of users themselves while surfing the web – even if it were only anonymous and intended to improve the software: This is the maxim followed by the makers of the Librewolf browser, which is based on Firefox .
No tracking, no fingerprinting
So if you know Firefox and Librewolf on your Windows, Mac or Linux computer Installed, will not have to get used to much when using it. The usual add-ons can also be installed without any problems. However, users can rest assured that all possible settings that are beneficial to data protection are activated from the start.
Advertising content, on the other hand, is deactivated, and the developers have pre-installed a tracking blocker and taken a variety of precautions against fingerprinting. This prevents third parties from being able to recognize the browser or computer based on technical features.

Librewolf allows exceptions

If you want to remain permanently logged in to certain pages or do not want to lose website settings, you must also define exceptions.
