For her experiment, Andrea Blazquez adopted a single rule and only for breakfast. She limited herself to eating the same dish that Kate Middleton, 41, she prepares every morning: The Porridgethe traditional oatmeal soup. And in a week, without going on a diet or making any special efforts at the gym, Blazquez lost half a kilo.

The answer, experts say, is in its nutritional properties

Known source of very slow digesting carbohydrates, and particularly rich in vitamins, proteins, iron and mineral salts, The Porridge Kate likes it because it takes minutes to prepare but it instills a feeling of full stomach that can last for hours, helping to avoid mid-morning snacks and snacks. The Porridge it can also be prepared in advance (up to five days in advance) and the cooking method is very simple: the oat flakes are boiled in water or milk (Kate prefers that plant basedbased on almond or coconut). But they can also not be cooked, by soaking them the previous evening, mixed with yoghurt and left to rest in the fridge until morning.

If cooked, the soup can then be served hot or cold, sweet or savoury, with fresh or dried fruit and spices. Kate adds blueberries, strawberries, banana slices and tangerine, crumbled walnuts, chia seeds (rich in calcium and vitamins). All topped with a teaspoon of peanut butter.
