The Russian freestyle legend Habib Nurmagomedov, 34, has shared his honest view on the gender division of people in an interview with the PBD podcast.
The former UFC star from the Dagestan region believes that humans only have two genders.
Nurmagomedov says that, for example, when he visited California, he was completely amazed when a local cafe had a unisex toilet.
– There were two toilets, and both were for all genders. I was wondering what is this? Where should I go? I saw something like that for the first time, Nurmagomedov said.
– I stopped and just stared in front of me for five seconds. Where is the men’s toilet and where is the women’s? I knocked on the door and asked: “is there anyone there?”
Dagestan is a strongly Islamic region. So the culture is very different from the US.
– I grew up in a very old-fashioned environment. My family is conservative. I am very happy about it. I come from the high mountains and we only have two genders.
