The Russian driver’s teammate wrote a stern statement about the war

The situation of Nikita Mazepin is very precarious.

– This is really heartbreaking. My thoughts and support go to all those innocent who suffer from this horrible war, Schumacher said.

Schumacher’s statement is significant in the sense that his teammate is an oligarch Dmitri Mazepinin son Nikita Mazepin.

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) has given Mazepin permission to continue in the series, but it is by no means certain that the driver will continue in the stable.

The British motorsport umbrella organization Motorsport UK announced on Wednesday that no driver competing under a Russian or Belarusian license will be allowed to compete on British soil.

This means that Mazepin has nothing to do with the Silverstone Classic GP unless he obtains a license from another country.

Russian Uralkali, owned by Dmitri Mazepin, is the Main Sponsor of Haas. The U.S. Stable drove in the Barcelona tests in February on Friday without ads from Uralkali.

Former F1 driver Daniil Kvjat has also taken a position. Kvjat, who drove Red Bull and AlphaTauri and its predecessor Toro Rosso, is now an Alpine test driver.

– I really hope for a peaceful solution in Ukraine. I want everyone to be able to live in peace.

At the same time, however, Kvjat regretted that the Russians were no longer allowed to play sports in many sports. He thinks this is “unfair”.

– Sports and politics should remain separate, Kvjat wrote on social media.

The International Olympic Committee has outlined that all sports federations under the IOC should exclude Russia from sporting events.
