The rumor in the funeral world is that the crematorium in Groningen is closing its doors. ‘It’s not good that people talk about us like that’

That says director Dick Postma, who suppresses a persistent rumor about closure. The largest funeral director Dela recently sold seven crematoria in the Netherlands, including Groningen, after a takeover of Yarden. This was done at the behest of the Netherlands Authority for Consumers & Markets. The ACM believes that there should be something for the customer to choose from and insisted on a different owner for the crematorium on the northern edge of the city.
