The photo was taken in January 2020 in the Royal Palace Amsterdam. This palace is used as a reception palace and exhibitions are regularly organized.
Natan .’s dress
In the photo, Máxima is wearing a dark blue brocade dress from her favorite fashion house Natan. Máxima also wore this outfit to the New Year’s reception in 2020, so in all likelihood the photo was taken then. The photo was taken by photographer Martijn Beekma. New portraits of King Willem-Alexander, Princess Margriet and Pieter van Vollenhoven were also released at the time.
birthday plans
Whether Máxima has any wild plans today? That is not what the RVD wants to say. Everything indicates that it will be an ordinary Tuesday for the Queen. When she turned 50 last year, her birthday looked very different.
50th birthday
The corona measures threw a spanner in the works, so that a large party could not take place. However, the queen was put in the spotlight. A birthday concert was given for her at the Royal Theater Carré. She gave a television interview to Matthijs van Nieuwkerk and several books and documentaries were released about her. Now it is much quieter around her birthday and she will probably celebrate it in private and behind closed doors.
