The Royal Family at Elizabeth’s evening service

Never before has a female member of the royal family been seen in the same situation.

King Charles IIIQueen consort Camilla and other members of the royal family attended an evening service in honor of Queen Elizabeth at St Giles Cathedral on Monday night.

King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla have been going all day. Now it was the evening service in the cathedral. PDO

Elizabeth’s coffin was moved to St Giles Cathedral during the day. A thanksgiving service was immediately held there, in which Charles also participated.

A tender moment was seen at the evening service, when all four of Elizabeth’s children stood with their heads bowed around their mother’s coffin, each on their own side.

It is a symbolic gesture, an old tradition, but unlike the traditions, a female member of the royal family, Princess Anne, was also present for the first time. Nothing like this has been seen before.

Anne was still wearing her military uniform, which she was also seen wearing during the day.

Charles, on the other hand, had changed his kilt. Having gotten used to it, he previously visited the Scottish Parliament with Camilla.

The evening service lasted only ten minutes.

After the royal family stood on the coffin, ordinary people were allowed into the cathedral to walk around the church hall and pay their respects to the queen. Moni stopped for a moment and bowed his head.

The members of the royal family left the church.
