The Rayados del Monterrey drew goalless against the Tuzos del Pachuca
Frenchman André-Pierre Gignac reached 151 goals this Saturday in the Mexican League at scoring a brace in the 0-3 thrashing of Tigres UANL over San Luis on the last day of the regular phase of the Apertura.
Gignac is the top scorer for the cats in historywith 125 goals in the regular phase and 26 in the league and this Saturday he was seconded by Sebastián Córdova, scorer of the other goal.
The win secured the Tigers in fifth place in the standings, which will allow them to be local in the playoffs which will start next weekend. San Luis was eliminated from the fight for the title.
The Tigers they dominated with 66 per cent of possession in the first halfhowever, struggled to convert that supremacy into shots on goal.
His only dangerous shot was one of Gignac’s scissors at minute 44 that Argentine goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero stopped on the goal line.

The last day of the Apertura began last Friday when America beat Puebla 1-2 and established first place in the regular phase, after which Juárez FC got into play-off positions by defeating Pumas UNAM 3-1.
This Sunday the Apertura will end with the duels Toluca-Querétaro, Santos Laguna-Mazatlán FC and León-Tijuana.
