In Russia, ration cards for low-income citizens may be introduced in the future, but such measures are used in different countries of the world, they should not be feared. “In many countries, including the United States, they exist, there are millions on them, and nothing. We just have a slightly different attitude towards them. In the minds of Russians, a food ration is a shame, ”said the economist.

Greenberg is confident that if the situation with the increase in consumer prices continues, the country’s authorities may decide to subsidize the production of the most important products. “Either there will come a need to introduce food ration cards in Russia,” he concluded.
