The rains tonight in Madrid due to the passage of the DANA is causing serious problems for traffic and displacements first thing this Monday.

As reported by the Community of Madrid Emergency Center, due to the intervention of emergency teams in the Calle 30 tunnel direction A-4 The exits to the A-42, Avenida del Manzanares and Paseo de Santa María de la Cabeza have been blocked.

There’s also complications on different access roads to the capital: on the A2 in Torrejón de Ardoz, Canillejas and the junction with the M-30; on the A3 near Vallecas; on the A4 in Pinto and Butarque; and on the M-40 from Vallecas to Coslada towards the A2 and Hortaleza in both directions.

There are also major complications in the Metro and in the circulation of medium and long-distance trains and flooding in various areas of the Community of Madrid.

The heavy rains caused by the isolated depression at high levels (DANA), which in recent hours have affected large areas of the country, they begin to remit although five communities still -Madrid, both Castillas, the Basque Country and La Rioja -continue on yellow alert.

In Castilla la Mancha, one of the communities most affected by the rainy season, only the province of Toledo continues with a yellow level, where accumulations of 20 liters per square meter are expected in one hour; Aemet indicates that the notice will end at 10:00 a.m. peninsular.

Castilla y León has activated a yellow alert in the provinces of Ávila, Burgos, León, Palencia, Segovia and Valladolid due to accumulations of 20 liters in one hour, until 10:00 a.m.

In the north of the country, The Basque Country and La Rioja are in yellow due to rains and storms that will leave 15 liters in an hour in a time slot between 2:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., peninsular time.

In the Balearic Islands There is also a yellow alert for an easterly wind of 40 to 60 km/h (force 6 to 7) and waves of 2 to 4 meters and in Catalonia a warning for adverse coastal phenomena and maximum gusts of 70 km/h, mainly in the area border between Lleida and Tarragona.

The Aemet warns that with the yellow alert there is no meteorological risk for the population in general, although yes for some specific activity.
