Owners of monumental buildings in Drenthe can apply for a subsidy for the maintenance of their building. There is also an arrangement to take out a loan at a low interest rate.
The money must then be used to preserve a monumental building, give it a new purpose or for energy-saving measures, such as roof insulation.
The first round of subsidy applications runs until the end of March. A second application round will start on July 1. A low-interest loan can be applied for all year round.
Previously, loans were also possible from the Drenthe Monument Fund. The province and the National Monuments Fund work together in this fund. Until now, the loan was only intended for the restoration or repurposing of a monumental building. This is now also possible for sustainability aimed at energy generation. Then you can think of solar panels or a heat pump.
