The final of the PDC World Darts Championship was played on Wednesday evening at Alexandra Palace, London. You took the win Luke Humphrieswho hit Luke Littler 7 to 4.
Littler led the match 4–2 and was a dart away from a 5–2 situation. Humphries didn’t get nervous, but turned the match around and was almost flawless in the final decision points.
– To be honest, I thought this had to be taken care of now, because he (Littler) is going to dominate the darts world soon, Humphries commented to Sky Sports.
– This is a moment I will never forget.
Both finalists are English. Humphries was third in the tournament, Littler was unplaced.
– Luke deserved his victory, Littler added to Sky Sports.
Littler is the youngest finalist in tournament history: 16 years, 347 days. He beat the previous age record by more than four years.
The winner pocketed half a million pounds and the Sid Waddell Trophy. The pot for the loser of the final was comfortably £200,000.
