The President of Ukraine denied the impression created by the West

The West creates the impression that the war in Ukraine will start tomorrow, said the President of the country Vladimir Zelensky during a conversation with reporters on January 28. Today, he does not see a greater escalation around the country than it was before, but the situation is escalating.

“The feeling is from the media, that we are at war, troops walk along the roads, mobilization, people are going somewhere. This is not true. We do not need this panic,” the President stressed.

Zelensky noted that statements on the escalation of the situation with Russia caused a panic in the markets and in the financial sector, and all this negatively affects the country’s economy.

Answering questions from media representatives, the Ukrainian leader indicated that he had no misunderstanding with US President Joe Biden. The American television channel CNN earlier made a statement that the telephone conversation between the presidents of the United States and Ukraine on January 27 cannot be characterized as constructive, the conversation went badly.

The Ukrainian leader called on Western countries to “openly say” whether Ukraine will be accepted into NATO. At the same time, he pointed out that regardless of decisions on this matter, the country will develop its army, writes RIA News.
