The President appealed to the Federation Council about the use of troops abroad

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin sent an appeal to the Federation Council on the use of the Armed Forces outside the territory of Russia.

According to the speaker of the Chamber Valentina Matviyenko, the issue will be considered in open mode.

In accordance with Part 3 of Article 51 of the regulations of the Federation Council, I am additionally putting on the agenda of the meeting of the Federation Council the issue of considering this appeal,” Matviyenko quotes TASS.

The ruble and shares reacted moderately negatively to the message that the Federation Council received an appeal from the president on the use of the Russian Armed Forces abroad, writes “Interfax”.

Earlier, the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, did not rule out that the republics of Donbass will have to ask the Russian Federation for military assistance. And the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrei Rudenko said that in the event of a threat, Russia will provide military assistance to the LPR and DPR in accordance with the signed treaties of friendship and cooperation.
