Everything indicates that the Premier League will make official the punishment that the Toffees will receive at the end of this week.

According to the regulations of the English league, clubs can record maximum losses of 105 million pounds (119 million euros) over a period of three years, although this regulation was relaxed due to the pandemic.

However, Everton have recorded a total of 372 million pounds of losses in the last three seasons, thus tripling the maximum of what the regulations allow. Still, of these 372 million losses, the English club attributes 170 million pounds to the impact caused by the pandemic.

If the 12-point penalty is confirmed, Everton would fall to the last place in the standings. The Liverpool club has only added 14 points in the first 12 dayswhich is why it currently occupies fourteenth position in the Premier.
