The PP will present throughout January the candidates both at the regional level, as of the heads of the list of the provincial capitals
The PP has appointed the general coordinator of the party, Elias Bendodo, to act as campaign manager of the PP for the next municipal and regional elections on May 28.
As reported by the ‘popular’ on Wednesday, the appointment of Bendodo will be submitted to the consideration of the Steering Committee of the PP. The director and his team will have the mission of working immediately in the preparation of the campaign.
The PP indicates in a note that it plans to do throughout January the presentations of the candidates both at the regional level as of the heads of the list of the provincial capitals.
It also highlights that Bendodo has “extended experience” in electoral campaigns, having served as campaign manager in the last two Andalusian regional elections, in which the PP obtained an “unprecedented success”, by managing to preside over the Junta de Andalucía for the first time in 2018 and in 2022 a historic result with an absolute majority and 58 seats in the Andalusian Parliament.
Born in 1974, Bendodo He has a degree in Law from the University of Malaga and has experience in the municipal sphere, provincial, regional and national since the year 2000. Then he presided over Nuevas Generaciones in Málaga, a position that was followed by that of president of the PP of Málaga and which he has held for 14 years.
Throughout his political career, the general coordinator of the PP has been director of several districts of the Malaga City Council, responsible for the areas of Sports, Tourism and Youth and President of the Malaga Provincial Council from 2011 to January 2019, moment in which he was appointed Minister of the Presidency, Public Administrations and Interior of the Junta de Andalucía.
To his appointment will be added that of the team in charge of directing the campaign that will be completed in the coming days with profiles with experience in the organization of electoral processes.

“The objective of this new team will be to show that there is a Pedro Sánchez on each electoral poster of the 12 autonomies and of the two autonomous cities that will have to submit to the verdict of the polls in the middle of this 2023, as well as in each of the socialist candidates in the more than 8,000 municipalities of Spain”, points out the PP.
The party led by Alberto Núñez Feijóo is made available to the territories to “achieve the best results” and increase the municipal, provincial and regional presence of the PP, with the parallel objective of recovering the condition of first political force in the next general elections.
