The sales of the vegan salami pizza surprised even the manufacturer.
A new pizza has appeared in the store’s freezer again. It’s a salami pizza without salami, i.e. a vegan version of your favorite flavor.
At the beginning of September, the novelty came to the Finnish market, but it was immediately sold out.
– The popularity of vegan salami pizzas has surprised us, says the CEO of Finland’s Dr. Oetker Pirkka Peltoniemi.

According to Peltoniemi, you already knew how to wait for pizza in Finland. It was the first to reach stores in Germany, and from there, pizza had already entered the discussions of vegan groups on social media.
Peltoniemi states that Finland’s Dr. Oetker thought that the latest vegan pizza would be on the same level as the vegan margherita already on the market.
– The beginning was probably so good because consumers already knew how to wait for pizza. Finland is the first Nordic country where it is in stores, Peltoniemi states.
According to him, the development of the pizza was exceptionally fast this time, when the right salami substitute was found.
